BFW is committed to spending at least 2% of its average net profits on CSR activities every financial year. The company’s CSR Committee recommends to the Board of Directors the projects and programs that BFW should undertake. The CSR Committee also monitors the implementation of CSR projects and programs to ensure that they are used for their intended purposes.
BFW is proud of its CSR work and is committed to continuing to invest in the communities where it operates. Here are some specific examples of BFW’s CSR initiatives:
- Annual blood donation camps.
- Distribution of books and uniforms to school students.
- Free mid-day meals through association with Akshay Patra.
- Project facilities for engineering scholars.
- Land and facility to establish ATMs for public use.
- Contributions to Prerana Resource Centre, a blind women’s hostel.
- The company supports the Kothari Medical Centre, a 360-bed tertiary care super-specialty hospital in Kolkata, and a 150-bed branch in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
