BFW is committed to environmental sustainability and has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce its environmental impact.
BFW’s green campus, featuring a botanical garden at its Peenya facility, secured the Best Garden Campus Horticulture Award for five consecutive years (2010 – 2015). The garden is irrigated with recycled water.
BFW’s rainwater harvesting project harvests 40% of the rainwater that falls on its premises. This water is used for irrigation, toilet flushing, and other non-potable purposes. The project has helped BFW reduce its reliance on groundwater and save money on water costs.
BFW’s rooftop solar plant generates 15 lakh power units annually. This is enough to meet the electricity needs of over 1,000 homes. The plant has helped BFW reduce its carbon emissions by offsetting 1,350 tons of carbon dioxide every year.
BFW is committed to making its operations more sustainable and reducing its environmental impact. These initiatives are helping BFW to conserve resources, reduce emissions, and protect the environment.
