Machining and Foundry

BFW has a full-fledged foundry at Hosur. The foundry is equipped with furnaces, shot blasting equipment, sand mixing and reclamation machinery, and an in-house laboratory. The foundry produces up to 600 tonnes of grey iron, SG iron, and NiHard castings every month.

Mother machines

BFW is enabled by a well-equipped manufacturing facility along with the mother machines.

– Mitsubishi 5-face piano miller for finished machining of large

and heavy components.

– Nissan horizontal boring machine for precise boring and 4-face milling on heavy components

– SIP vertical JIG boring machine

– Waldrich Coburg slideway grinding machine.

Quality and testing

– Leitz coordinate measuring machine for large parts with volumetric length measuring error of(1.3+(U500)) microns and probing error of
– 1 micron.
– CarlZiess coordinates measuring machine with a volumetric length measuring error of (2.2+(L/300)) microns and a probing error of 2 microns.

Design facilities

We use SOLID WORKS latest edition for the design and development of our products.

Spindle

Most BFW products are fitted with spindles that are manufactured in-house. The facilities include grinding machines from Kellenberger, Studer, Voumard, and Toss BOU.
