Bharat Fritz Werner Group (BFW) and M2NxT Solutions Ltd (M2NxT) are proud and delighted to announce that they have finalized a firm system sale contract with ADaMS: Additive Design and Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. This export sale is a key milestone for the entire Indian metal AM industry, as the first ever metal AM Directed Energy Deposition system “Make in India” to be delivered to any international location. This project is part of BFW/M2NxT global vision to democratize metal AM-DED solutions worldwide via innovation, automation, integration, and utilizing the most premium technologies available in the industry, and as such, a strong tick mark in its journey to move aggressively forward with DED solutions for the Indian and Global industries.
This DED system will incorporate state of the art high power fiber laser, best-in-class and most reliable powder feeders, and extremely advanced laser–powder deposition heads incorporating high-rate deposition, multiple nozzle configurations, in-line pyrometry, real-time melt pool monitoring, zoom optics for adjustable melt pool size, and process data capture and recording. The system will be installed on an advanced industrial robot with all control systems, a tilt/rotate part positioned, and a safety enclosure.
